Dating back to the 1850’s this dish has been a staple for the cattle drivers in the west to feeding big families today, this good ole dish has been and still is a real favourite.

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high. Cook the onion and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the mince and brown well, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Stir in the cumin, smoked paprika and chipotle powder and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Tip in the tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans and Cobra Chilli Garlic Habanero sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until rich and thickened. Season to taste.
  6. Serve over rice, loaded onto nachos, or in bowls with sour cream, grated cheese and coriander.
