The Science of Turning Fresh Chillies into Sauce 🌶️🍲Hey, spice enthusiasts! Have you ever wondered what happens to those fiery fresh chillies when they are transformed into a sauce?Flavour Explosion
When you cook fresh chillies, their natural flavours intensify. The heat activates the capsaicin, making your sauce even spicier and more aromatic. This process also helps in blending the chillies' heat with other ingredients, creating a complex and satisfying taste.
Texture Transformation
Cooking softens the chillies, allowing them to blend smoothly into a sauce. This transformation results in a rich, velvety texture that coats your taste buds with every bite.
Nutrient Retention
Did you know cooking chillies can help retain their nutrients better? While some vitamin C may be lost, cooking enhances the bioavailability of other nutrients, like antioxidants, which are great for your health.
Culinary Versatility
Whether you love a tangy salsa or a thick, spicy curry, cooking chillies into a sauce opens up endless culinary possibilities. It’s the perfect way to elevate your dishes!🔥

The spiciness of a chilli is due to the presence o The spiciness of a chilli is due to the presence of capsaicin, a chemical compound found in the fruit's membranes and seeds. Capsaicin binds to the receptors in your mouth that are the sensors for heat and pain, thereby triggering a burning sensation. This response is actually a defense mechanism of the plant to deter animals from eating its fruit. However, us humans have a passion for this spicy sensation, and the endorphin rush that follows the initial heat. The intensity of spiciness, or "heat," is measured on the Scoville scale, which ranks peppers based on their capsaicin content. Different varieties of chilli peppers contain varying levels of capsaicin, resulting in a broad spectrum of heat from mild to extremely hot.Sauces @cobrachilli range from mild to wild - pop into our store on the Gold Coast and take the taste test.
